From Pew Research, they started the Religious Landscape Study (RLS). It was conducted in 2007, 2014 and 2023-24 and surveys more than 35,000 Americans in all 50 states about their religious affiliations, beliefs and practices along with their social and political views and demographic characteristics.

The Open Generation project is the largest study Barna has ever conducted in its 38-year history, created to help church leaders better understand teenagers around the world.

What is TENx10?
TENx10 is a collaborative movement of diverse US partners responding to the crisis of teenage faith formation by elevating relational discipleship radically focused on Jesus. Our mission is to help faith matter more for 10 million young people over the next 10 years—in the spirit of John 10:10. Our strategy is to provide vision, resources, and training that jumpstart youth ministries toward relational discipleship radically focused on Jesus through our Faith Formation Strategy.
What is the TENx10 Movement?
The TENx10 movement seeks to make faith matter more for 10 million young people in the next 10 years.
Who is TENx10?
TENx10 is working to help faith matter more to ten million young people over the next ten years. We are a diverse group of Jesus followers; a mosaic of cultures, denominations, ethnicities, traditions, and backgrounds. The 175+ organizations who have officially agreed to be part of TENx10 don’t agree on everything, but what we have in common is clear: Young people matter to God, to the Church, and to us. TENx10 is rallying all parts of the Church to reimagine how we form the faith of young people—together.
What are TENx10’s strategic priorities?
1. Help faith matter more to ten million young people over the next ten years. 2. Offer resources faith communities need to prioritize youth discipleship. 3. Spark an ecumenical movement that supports and equips youth leaders on the frontlines of cultivating the faith of the next generation. 4. Center leaders in communities of color as well as bi-vocational, volunteer, and under-resourced leaders.
What is a TENx10 partner?
We have a variety of partners with various types of engagement in the mission of making faith matter more for 10 million young people. Supporters are championing the mission of TENx10 through prayer, advocacy, or spreading awareness. Collaborators are partnering with TENx10 by contributing resources, ideas, or expertise. Activators are carrying out the mission of TENx10 within their own context and communities.
Who is TENx10 for?
TENx10 is for anyone who cares about the faith of the next generation! We work primarily to equip leaders at all levels of the Church and formally partner with denominations, parachurch organizations, nonprofits, networks, local churches, and academic institutions. Our resources are generally created for youth and senior leaders.
