What is the goal of the TFS Project?

The Faith and Service Project aims to make faith matter more for 10 million young people over ten years by strengthening TENx10 partners’ capacity to engage teenagers in intentional acts of service and justice.

How many grants are being awarded?

Up to 40 grants are anticipated to be awarded.

How much is each recipient eligible to receive?

Implementation Grants are eligible for up to $75,000 of grant funding. Collaborative Grants are eligible for up to $165,000 of grant funding.

What type of grant awards are available?

The second year of TFS has two types of grant awards. There are “Implementation Grants” which are designed for single TFS grantees from year one to continue their grant work from 2025. The second type is a “Collaborative Grant” for TFS grantees to partner with at least one organization to further the implementation and impact of their grant.

Can for-profit organizations apply?

Yes. Both for-profit and non-profit organizations may apply. For-profit applicants should indicate their classification on the application; TENx10 will request additional information as needed.

Can two separate organizations collaborate on a project? Does the other organization need to be a TFS grantee or TENx10 partner?

Yes—collaborations between organizations are encouraged. No! They collaborating organization does not need to be a TFS grantee or TENx10 partner. The awarded organization must be a TFS grantee from year 1.

If applying from a church, does it need a separate 501(c)(3)?

No. A church can receive the grant as long as it has a tax ID number.

Can organizations that were not apart of TFS in year 1 apply for year 2?

No. The Faith & Service project builds on itself so it is not feasible for a non-year one organization to fully participate in TFS project.

Can an institution with an existing grant apply?

Yes, but the TFS proposal budget should only reflect the requested funding from TENx10.

Can projects serve youth outside the U.S.?

No. The youth served must be located in the United States.

Can my organization submit multiple proposals?

No. Limit one proposal per organization/501(c)(3).

Can groups under the same 501(c)(3) umbrella submit separate proposals?

No. Only one proposal is allowed per 501(c)(3). Contact tfs@tenx10.org with questions.

If the project lead leaves, does the grant follow them?

No. The grant stays with the organization. A new project lead should be designated.

When is the TFS proposal application due?

All grant applications are due December 10, 2025, at 11:59 PM PST.

Does the project have to happen within a specific timeframe?

Yes. Projects should be completed between January and December 2026.

Are there other dates or events that year two grantees are expected to attend?

Yes. TFS year two grantees will be expected to attend the learning communities and TFS Day, which takes place the day before the TENx10 Summit in the fall of 2026. While those dates are not currently available, we will have them for you at the beginning of 2026.

What if I need more information on how to complete the grant application?

TFS will offer two informational webinars and a grant writing development workshop. The informational workshops will take place on Tuesday, October 21, and Thursday, November 6. The grant writing development workshop is on November 18. All workshops are at 9:00 a.m. PST/12:00 p.m. EST and can be accessed HERE.

Will recordings of the workshops be available?

We have every intention of recording and sharing the workshop recordings, but we acknowledge that technology isn’t always on our side. We will do our best, but we hope that you will join us live.

What if I need help deciding on a project?

Attend the webinars or schedule a call with a member of the TFS team.

How will applications be reviewed?

Applications are reviewed on a Likert scale against published criteria. While this is a competitive grant, we hope to award grants to the maximum number of applicants who meet the criteria.

How long until I hear back?

Applicants will receive notice by January 30, 2026.

Is there a way to draft my application before submitting it?

Yes, a worksheet version of the application is available.

Is there a specific group my project should help?

Yes! Projects must be targeted to help 13-18-year-olds through direct engagement, research, resource creation, or gatherings. If you have a proposal that falls outside these categories, please email us at tfs@tenx10.org before submitting your application

If I am the CEO, does the letter of support need another signature?

No—your signature is sufficient

How should I present our grant budget?

The application includes a worksheet to help plan the budget. The categories and amounts on the worksheet should be put into the online application. Totals should not exceed the limits of the grant to which you are applying. Implementation Grants are eligible for up to $750,000 of grant funding. Collaborative Implementation Grants are eligible for up to $165,000 of grant funding.

What is TFS Day and how is it connected to the TENx10 Summit?

TFS Day is a one-day experience for TENx10 organizations that are recipients of The Faith & Service grant. It features guest speakers, breakout sessions, and networking to help partners integrate faith, service, and justice. TFS Day takes place just before the TENx10 Summit, and the events are designed to complement one another.

Is the TENx10 Summit included with my TFS Day registration?

Yes! Your registration includes access to both TFS Day and the full TENx10 Summit.

Do you have the time, dates, and locations so I can put this on my calendar now?

Plans for TFS Day and the TENx10 Summit will be released in the early months of 2026. Stay tuned!
